2026 INTERNATIONAL BRASS intensive

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Participants - Orchestral brass musicians who have reach a level of proficiency equivalent to AMusA or above and who are intending to pursue a professional orchestral career.

Auditors - Brass musicians who have reach a level of proficiency of AMEB Grade 8 and want to further develop their musical skills.

The 2026 International Brass Intensive with be held at the Bright Chalet, 113 Delany Ave, located in the heart of the beautiful Victorian Alpine Region. Bright is a popular holiday destination and has a thriving winter ski season.

Bright and surrounding areas have much to offer with beautiful valleys and mountains, breweries, bike trails, golf and pristine rivers not to mention the wildlife.

Bright is approximately three & a half hours drive from Melbourne. International and interstate visitors should book their flights to Melbourne Airport. A coach transfer to Bright (and return) can be booked with us at a small extra cost.

Accommodation is included in the cost of the Intensive and we will be hosted at the Bright Chalet. Accommodation will be shared rooms with twin, triple and quadruple rooms. All rooms include:

Registration

Applications - Participants & Auditors

Apply to attend the intensive by clicking on the button below. Please fill out the details requested on the application form.  Applications close on 30th September 2025.


Once your application has been assessed, you may be requested to submit a recorded audition consisting of two contrasting etudes or two contrasting solo movements. All recordings must be submitted via an unlisted YouTube link.  (Auditors are not required to submit an audition recording).


If you wish, you can submit a recorded audition with your application by copying and pasting the URL of the YouTube video that you are submitting on the Participant Application form.

Offers to participants and auditors will be sent out from 1st October 2025. To accept your offer and secure your place, you must pay the full fee for the Intensive by 21st October 2025.

2026 Internatinal Brass Intensive Fees

The symposium fees cover all tuition, accommodation and meals. A Coach transfer from Melbourne Airport is also available for a small extra cost.


Participant: $1250

Auditor: $750

Coach Transfer: $125 (Melbourne Airport to Bright and return)
